It's Your Special Day!
Your wedding day is about so much more than the ceremony itself. It’s the quiet moments before you walk down the aisle, the emotion on your partner’s face, the hugs from family, the group photos you’ll treasure for years, and those irreplaceable memories with grandparents and loved ones.
Along with the big moments, I love capturing the fun, unscripted side of the day — the inside jokes with your bridesmaids, the ridiculous group poses, the laughter between takes, and the kind of photos that perfectly capture your personalities.
From the ceremony to the reception and after-party, my goal is to tell the full story of your wedding day as it naturally unfolds. The tears during speeches, the energy on the dance floor, the quiet in-between moments, and the unexpected memories are often the photographs that become the most meaningful years later.
In the photo below, the bridesmaids (two of her sisters and her closest friends) decided to surprise the bride by recreating a funny photo they had seen online. Without telling her what they were planning, they turned the group portrait into a hilarious prank. When the bride later saw the image in her wedding album, she couldn’t stop laughing. It became one of those unexpected memories that perfectly captured the fun and personality of her wedding day.
Curtis Jones Photography
I’m Curtis Jones, the photographer behind Curtis Jones Photography, and I’ve spent more than 20 years behind the camera creating images that feel intentional, refined, and personal.
As an Orlando wedding photographer, I know that great wedding photography is about much more than simply documenting how the day looked. It’s about preserving how it felt—the anticipation before the ceremony, the quiet moments in between, the laughter with the people you love, and all of the little details that make your wedding uniquely yours.
Your wedding day should never feel like one long photo shoot. My approach is relaxed, organized, and focused on giving you the guidance you need without pulling you away from the experience itself. When direction is helpful, I’ll provide it. When a moment is unfolding naturally, I’ll step back and let it happen. The goal is to create beautiful, meaningful photographs while allowing you to stay present and enjoy your day.
Every wedding is different, and I approach each one with that in mind. Some couples are planning elegant ballroom celebrations, while others are drawn to intimate ceremonies, outdoor venues, destination weddings, or something completely their own. I take the time to understand what matters most to you so your photographs reflect your personalities, your relationships, and the atmosphere you worked so hard to create.
With more than two decades of professional photography experience, I’ve learned how important it is to stay calm, prepared, and adaptable on a wedding day. Timelines change. Weather changes. Emotions run high. My job is to anticipate what’s happening, keep things moving when necessary, and make sure the important moments are captured without adding stress to the day.
I also believe some of the most meaningful wedding photographs happen in the moments you never planned. A parent seeing you for the first time. A quiet glance during the ceremony. Friends laughing together at the reception. Those unscripted moments are often the images that become more valuable with time, and I’m always watching for them.
At the same time, I know there are moments when thoughtful direction makes all the difference. Family portraits, wedding party photographs, and portraits of the two of you should feel effortless rather than awkward or overly posed. I’ll guide you through those parts of the day efficiently so you can feel comfortable in front of the camera and get back to celebrating.
My approach to Orlando wedding photography blends timeless portraiture with natural storytelling. I want your final collection to include the photographs you expect, the moments you didn’t see happening, and the images that instantly bring you back to the people, emotions, and energy of your wedding day.
After more than 20 years of photographing people and important milestones, I’ve learned that the best images come from a combination of experience, preparation, trust, and knowing when to direct and when to simply observe. That’s the experience I want every couple to have.
If you’re looking for a photographer who combines experience, thoughtful direction, artistry, and a relaxed approach, I’d love to document your wedding and create a collection of images that feels just as meaningful years from now as it does today.
